I had an exceptional artistic and intellectual experience on October 5, 2025, on the White Night of Galleries, at the International Center for Contemporary Art “Baia Turcească” in Iași, where I had the joy of presenting – together with Prof.univ.dr. Nicolae N. Hurduc, from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection “Cristofor Simionescu” – TUIASI and Dr. Maria Bilasevschi, president of UAPR – Iași Branch, the painting exhibition entitled “Fe4 [ Fe ( CN )6 ] 3” signed by the visual artist Mando.

In the fabulous space of the galleries at “BaiaTurcească”, alongside Mando’s superb “portals” of homogeneous color, united under the chemical formula of “Prussian Blue” (the first synthetic pigment in the history of chemistry and the arts), the screenings of surprising and spectacular short films made by the very young director Amos Brădățanu were added. Mando’s project, with a concept declared open to multiple possibilities of reception and interpretation, explores the scientific, sociological and anthropological valences, the philosophical and theological connotations that colors have acquired over time, along with the development of human civilization. Professor Nicolae Hurduc spoke to us about colors – seen as natural pigments or as substances of chemical synthesis (in their historical evolution) – but also as true symbolic entities, generators of certain soul energies, active in the alchemical processes of our spiritual development. The theme, Mando’s rigorously abstract paintings (unique in the contemporary art space of Iași), Amos’ provocative short films with a refined visual poetry (inspired by the narratives of recently published books), Professor Hurduc’s alchemical decryptions – on the sidelines of the exhibited projects and the captivating dialogues with the large audience that evening, brought us all a true aesthetic delight and intellectual joy, reminding us how complex and fascinating the experience of life is on our level of Reality.
